Dear Gene,

Thanks much for the nice comment on the nAblement effort. We'll continue to try to move the ball for all of the true pioneers like you who have made life much more manageable for all of us.

I enjoyed the video. And, I'm encouraged by nAblement and its mission.

I've been a wheelchair user for more than 50yrs. I dealt with a world before curb-cuts; tried to use driveways crossing the sidewalk where possible.

I had to always consider where I was going, before I left, so I could utilize available resources/opportunities to accommodate my needs. That's a good plan of action today -- an indispensable one in the past.

My traveling these days is very limited physically -- to much assistive equipment and devices But, not so via the cyber-world!

And, maybe someday, I will be able to see more of the barriers fall -- The ones I wrote about on my blog which segregate those of us with physical limitations.

Best wishes to you in 2010.
